The documentary V. Silvestrov, dedicated to the work of a prominent Ukrainian composer, tells the story of the main stages of his life. The film consists of three parts, each of which is dedicated to a period in his creative life. The filmmaker Serhiy Bukovsky records the composer’s practice sessions, memories, thoughts, forming an auteur’s perspective on the personality of the genius in all his unusualness and emotional depth. It is a contemplation and a confession of a brilliant talent against the background of a controversial era.
