Leading Role
The film is about the director’s mother, the movie actress Nina Antonova.
Three grandsons embark with their grannies on a journey in Great Britain, Germany and Hungary. On the way, they recall the extraordinary lives of their grandmothers: an English spy, a dancer from Nazi Germany and a Hungarian communist Holocaust survivor. This is a sincere and daring intergenerational dialogue in which the young men explore themselves and their cultural heritage.
