The protagonist is Mykyta Hirnia, a clarinetist from Chernihiv. Before the war, he taught conducting at the local music school and played in several music collectives. But the war changed his daily life dramatically. When the Russian full-scale invasion began, his students were scattered around the world as they fled the war, and his music collectives fell apart. The city was surrounded by occupying troops and regularly bombed by artillery and missiles. As a person with a sensitive soul, Mykyta took those horrible events very hard. To avoid being idle and to be useful to society in this difficult time, Mykyta became a volunteer. Now he brings basic necessities on his bike to those who need them, under shelling and fire. What helps him keep his mind balanced is his old hobby: the traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
