Above the Styx
Thousands come to the cemetery for Hrobky (Memorial Day) to commemorate their departed relatives, to get blessed, to celebrate life.
Janette, 72, is terminally ill and wants to die in a dignified way, but British laws do not allow it. She gets in touch with a doctor in Switzerland, who is willing to help her. For this, Janette must plan her journey to Switzerland before her rapidly advancing disease makes it impossible. As the date of departure approaches, tensions in the woman’s family grow. Her son Simon has also inherited this illness. and so he has much more sympathy regarding his mother’s decision than others. Do we own our life or does it own us?
